29 Aug 2008 - EXODUS RELEASE THE COVER ART FOR "LET THERE BE BLOOD"
August 29, 2008:
Produced by Gary Holt, “Let There Be Blood” was
recorded at Sharkbite Studios in Oakland, CA, JKZ Production Studio in
San Rafael, CA with vocal tracks recorded at J. Rod Production Studios
in New City, NY. Andy Sneap mixed and mastered the album at Backstage
Studios in Derbyshire, UK. The release date for "Let There Be Blood” is
October 28, 2008 through Zaentz Records which has U.S. and European
distribution. Gary Holt will be available for interviews starting in
September. Please make your requests for promo material to Die Crawling
Media. For the troops in the trenches, it began in 1982
with a low generation copy of a local band’s three-song demo. For some,
it began with their first listen to Combat Records’ version of "Bonded
By Blood" in 1986. Regardless of the year EXODUS are the undeniable
forefathers of thrash metal. EXODUS gained huge notoriety in the international
underground scene as a result of the tape trading community. Their
dynamic guitar riffing, adrenaline-inducing drum work, and bloodied
live shows made all the difference in the band’s mission to take Bay
Area Thrash to a worldwide audience. The immortal, must-have, thrash
classic "Bonded By Blood" was released in 1985 via Torrid Records (then
re-released in 1986 on Combat Records), and inspired the likes of
Testament, Death Angel, Vio-lence and many others. To this day "Bonded
By Blood" is inspiring a whole new breed of thrash metal.
Gary Holt, songwriter and lead guitarist of EXODUS, has released the
following statement about the band's decision to revisit this classic
album that began an era in music history.

07 Jul 2008 - EXODUS HAVE COMPLETED THE RE-RECORDING OF THEIR 1986 MASTERPIECE "BONDED BY BLOOD" July 7, 2008: For the troops in the trenches, it began in 1982 with a low generation copy of a local band’s three-song demo. Gary Holt, songwriter and lead guitarist of EXODUS, has released the following statement about the band's decision to revisit this classic album that began an era in music history. "After many years in the planning and discussion stage, we have finally completed the re-recording of "Bonded By Blood." We have decided to call it "Let There Be Blood" and it is our way of paying homage to [original singer] Paul Baloff by showing how relevant these songs we had written together still are. We aren't trying to replace the original, that's impossible anyway. We are just giving these songs the benefit of modern production. It's something we talked about before Paul's death and it's always been important to us to do. We were super excited about entering the studio once again to record these classics, and now it's back to writing the next studio record!" Produced by Gary Holt, “Let There Be Blood” was recorded at Sharkbite Studios in Oakland, CA, JKZ Production Studio in San Rafael, CA with vocal tracks recorded at J. John McEntee Owner of Ibex Moon Records: “HOD is a real blasphemous power house. I have known Carl and Bjorn for a long time now and jumped at the opportunity to work with them. They play aggressive and twisted black/death metal and bring in the best of the original black/death metal fundamentals without being outdated. They will forge a new standard on the future of extreme metal. I look forward to a monstrous debut album. HOD will for sure be a metal force to be reckoned with!” Carl "Lord Necron" Snyder HOD guitarist comments: “We are pleased to announce our signing to Ibex Moon Records. Ibex Moon is the label that is right for HOD. Working with a label that is run by people that are actually fans of extreme metal was a major consideration for us. So this makes a perfect union. Prepare for annihilation...You have been warned!" Ibex Moon Records are proud to announce the signing of FATALIST from Ventura, CA. FATALIST features members Wes Caley (ex-Exhumed, ex-Uphill Battle), Neil Burkdoll (ex-Stump, Dirty Dead), Tyler Castro and Art Hayes. They formed in the spring of 2006 and write music reminiscent of Entombed, Nihilist, Grave, Dismember and Unleashed. FATALIST's demo CD entitled "Loss" was self-released in November of 2007. Check out their myspace page http://www.myspace.com/fatalist666 John McEntee, Owner of Ibex Moon Records: "I was blown when I first heard this band. They have such a sincere heavy, catchy and aggressive death metal vibe. It reminded me of the first time I heard some of the classic Scandinavian death metal bands of the late 80's early 90's. I feel that FATALIST is a extremely promising band and will be a staple of the worldwide death metal scene. I'm proud to have them as a part of the Ibex Moon roster." Neil Burkdoll states, "We are really excited and happy to be working with Ibex Moon. With bands like Nominon, Funerus, and Incantation, how can you go wrong? John has been very supportive of us and we look forward to releasing a great album in 2008."
