04 Mar 2007 - Los Angeles Murderfest 2007![]() Los Angeles Murderfest 2007 Presented by The Church Of The 8th Day & Decibel Magazine March 24th & March 25th 2007 The Los Angeles Murderfest will be celebrating its second consecutive year as well as its third year in existence with Version 3.0. Originally the brainchild of Church of the 8th Day founder Daniel Dismal, the Los Angeles Murderfest was born out of the idea that L.A. needed a fest that embraced the various styles of metal, hardcore and punk. Borrowing the initial formula from the highly successful New England Metal and Hardcore Festival, the Murderfest has began to carve out its own niche within the festival circuit in an amazingly short amount of time. With an ultimate goal to incorporate the feel of a European style festival in an American setting, the Los Angeles Murderfest will once again prove to be the staging ground for rare and exclusive Los Angeles appearances and reunions from some of the best outfits in each genre. Cutting back from the three-day structure to a more concise two-day formation, Version 3.0 will feature 40-plus bands on two stages within a 48-hour period while playing host to some of the industries top vendors and record labels in what is being labeled as an underground flea market. 08 Feb 2007 - KRUGER releases two new song from "Redemption Through Looseness" on MySpace! After a rocking debut and aggro-belting album, “Built For Speed”, the Swiss, whiskey-induced, metal hybrid KRUGER continued to make themselves known in 2005 with a massive, heavy and promising second piece mixed by Fredrik Nordstrom in a very Swedish (think “thick”) kind of way. “Cattle Truck” has since been acclaimed by both critics and fans throughout Europe, and allowed KRUGER to share the stage with bands like The Dillinger Escape Plan, Isis, Cult of Luna, Sleeppers, Gojira or Unsane, with whom they hold the comparison very decently. Gloomy and dark, yet overwhelmingly powerful, this new 9-track album drowns the band’s acknowledged influences (Breach, Entombed, Tool, Neurosis) into an intense magma of shredding metallurgic charge, drilling vocal turpitudes and desperate, naked heaviness. Thematically stuck into out-of-subject considerations and cynical bottle stories, KRUGER drive faster and louder, crashing the post-hardcore clichés in their way. They pick things up a lot more than Isis, though, and these components never detract from the originality and talent on the disk. KRUGER really creates a unique sound." -Lambgoat

02 Feb 2007 - GOJIRA 2007 U.S. Tour![]() Combining intense incendiary live shows that will leave you open-mouthed in awe, with richly textured and brutally powerful compositions that transcend the normal death metal style, there’s no doubting that GOJIRA are an exceptional band. And one that, in the 10 years of being together has seen them rise up from the extreme metal underground like (their namesake) Godzilla from the sea, breaking through the confines of the scene that spawned them, hungry to spread their message of environmentalism and spirituality across the globe, hungry to make the world a better place and hungry for success. And like Godzilla before them, GOJIRA are flattening all competition in their wake – thanks to the growing critical acclaim that their phenomenally brilliant third album ‘From Mars To Sirius’ have gained across Europe and more recently America.
